Progress Report: October 16-22

Please report your miles for the week!

Did you have any triumphs this week? Any hurdles to overcome?

What goals do you have for the upcoming week?

If you have an update on your own blog, leave us the link in the comments so we can come cheer you on!

Also, you read-a-thoners, I challenge you to go at least one mile tomorrow! Walk, yoga (very relaxing!), run, weights, crunches. Whatever--one mile. Just think of the lovely rest you'll give your eyes.

Guest Posts during this past week to check out:

If you would like to guest post, please let me know in the comments or via email!

Have a great week!

I didn't hit my goal this week, but did walk 14 miles, bringing my total to 51! Woo hoo! Half way there! I'm headed out today for six days to the beach and on a cruise, and I just found that I had too much to do to get ready. If I hadn't been leaving today, I would have added another five miles this morning, but I just can't. I DO plan on doing a fair amount of walking with my friends this week. The question is...will I hit 20 miles or will I stay in bed from too much food and drink? Haha! Here is my post:

I've gotten up to 19 miles in all now. Not as many as I wanted to do but I've got an old achilles injury playing up. BUT, I also got a treadmill this week and that got the miles back up there :D I'm pretty well on track, although I'd like to be doing more.

How bad am I. I haven't achieved any in the last two weeks due to be away. I already had fifteen so at least I made a good start. Will definitely try harder this week.

I only added three more, bringing my total to 10. I know I know.

I actually got up and motivated this week. I went to the mall walking on Sunday, then went to Aerobics class twice. I am hoping to keep up with the aerobics until I am about 8 months (expecting in march) so I logged Nine Miles this week!

I've walked 5 miles since joining Monday. My biggest challenge this week was trying to fit it into my uber busy schedule. This upcoming week, I'm going to try going to bed earlier so that I can workout first thing in the morning. We'll see how it goes.

Ya, yoga *counts*?! That's good news! ;)

I only started the challenge this week, and got 7 miles in! It wasn't easy: I had decided to go on a hike on my own but you know how it is when you actually have to *go*?! I had all sorts of excuses (like those reviews I still have to post) so I am really proud that I got my act together and went. I had a lovely time! Even though I took a wrong turn somewhere, LOL.

Today I actually heard of 2 friends joining in as well :)

Here's the post about my miles.
And my acceptance post.

At first, I was pretty sure I messed up this week, but turns out I did better. Who knew?

My total miles = 10

I think my greatest triumph was finished my usual circuit ten minutes faster than I had been. Of course, now that means I need to add on another ten minutes (vicious circle).

I just found your challenge this morning and I hope you don't mind someone joining this late. This is just the thing I have been looking for to kickstart my fitness goals for the fall.

Total miles through 10/22 = 16

After last week's fight with the flu, I had a much better week. I was proud of myself - got up every single morning (mon-fri) to do one workout DVD and did not snooze the alarm!

This week's total 12 (bringing me to 32). Here's my post:

I pushed it really hard on Monday and Tuesday and boy did I pay for it. I'm finally over the soreness today, Friday. I had to take it easy for the next couple of workouts.

I did 13 miles again this week. It must be my lucky number. I was hoping for 15, but that will be my goal again for next week. That brings my total to 31.

Since October 1st, I have walked 24 miles. Treadmills with tvs help immensely!
I can watch Regis & Kelly and the time just flies by.

I've doubled my mileage with 7 miles this week :) The weather has been so beautiful that walking outside with my dog has helped. Now that it is raining with no end in sight it may take more commitment!

I jogged 8 miles, for a total now of 20. The weather is getting bad here and so I'm going to need to use Anytime Fitness.

I'd be happy to guest post, featuring some good audiobooks. Or I could talk about my heart rate monitor, which got me from being in fair condition for my age (57)to being "elite"--whatever that means. Cardio-vascularly, it's good. Much better than before. Catherine. Just let me know if or when you'd like me to do it, and which topic.

We ran 12 miles this morning & I didn't die! That is my accomplishment this week. I am exhausted, but we didn't have to walk or stop once! Half-marathon here I come!!!

I just joined this week and already hit a hurdle! You can read about it here

I have 5 miles for this week.

I took 1 mile per day last week on my treadmill... is it fine?

This week I got in 6.

Oh & last week (didn't report bc of out town)...5.

I walked 11 miles this week which brings my total up to 31. Not as many miles as last week, and still no strength training, so I'm going to try to step it up a notch this week. But as long as I average ten miles per week, I'll finish on schedule, so I'm not going to beat myself up over the inevitable ebbs and flows in my progress.

Yay! I did 8 this week! Still having a little trouble scheduling exercise, guess that's how it goes with a 2 year old!

You guys are doing great. I apologize for being late in updating your miles--I totally blame it on read-a-thon hangover. :)

I've had a couple of slow weeks--only 6 miles for this reporting period. Gotta step it up, Trish! :)

I forgot to post my miles for this week! I just joined but I am very motivated! I did 8 miles!

I walked 32 miles this week, mostly to and from work with long walks on both days of the weekend.
