Progress Report #1: January 1-7

Welcome to the first progress report. For those of you who are new to the challenge, I will put up a new progress report every Friday so you can report your miles from the previous Friday through Thursday. I might not update your miles until later in the week (waiting until most people have reported), but I'll definitely update before the next progress report.

This round should be easy since we're starting fresh, but I will be using your display name for the tallies. Last time there were several Amandas, Kims, Vickies, etc, so it might be helpful to end your comment with the name you'd like to report with--you can always check the signups to see if there are more than one of you. This way I won't get you mixed up!

That's about it, but please let me know if you have any questions about the challenge. The best way to reach me is email since I don't always check these comments every day.

PROGRESS REPORT #1

Did you have any triumphs this week? Any hurdles to overcome?

What goals do you have for the upcoming week?

Leave us the link in the comments if you have an update on your own blog so we can come cheer you on! (be sure to also leave your miles in the comments so I don't have to track them down!)

Alright Schools back in session and I'm back on track. Add 10 miles for me. My usual weekly amount. I got back to all my classes this week. I'm sore but so glad to get my schedule going again.

24 for me, but somehow I always manage to out eat the calories I burn. That's my challenge for week 2.

Trish, I am so excited to report to you my miles accumulated since Jan. 1. As you know, I am on the Game On Diet now, which requires me to do at least 20 minutes of excercise 6 days a week. Usually I do more though. Well, I am proud to report 30 miles! I almost couldn't believe it myself. It snuck up on me. No post this week...got to go clean the house!

19 miles this week...I'm pretty happy.

7 miles for me. Still trying to figure out how to sneak work-outs in around classes this semester.

9 got me, but I'm only counting walking/running--not my other exercise.

Carin said...

I just signed up yesterday morning so I'm only going to count my exercise for yesterday instead of the whole week. I did 3 miles yesterday.

I have a spot for the challenge on the sidebar of my blog.

Thanks for running this challenge! I'm really excited about it.

5 miles, I think I should get extra credit for the fact that it was cold and rainy. ;-)

Well, I didn't exactly start until the 4th - but better late than never, right? So from Monday - Thursday I logged 7 miles.

8 miles for me! I've been using a yoga workout that has been helping an injury I had to my shoulder.

I only got 5 in this week - we have had so much rain that I guess I need to figure out how to get more exercise inside. I hope my second week on the challenge is better.

I didn't keep track this week, so I'm not reporting any. I'll make sure to wear a pedometer and log minutes of workouts next week.

Only 5 this week but each one reminded me how long it's been that I've been goofing off.

I had 11 miles this week.

I'm off to a slow start: 4 miles.
My post is here.

You would think I'd have learned by starting slow in the first challenge, but here I am with only 4 miles logged.

Oh I love the first several rounds when everyone is still full of energy!! :)

Looks like there were some good starts to the challenge. Don't worry about those of you who are a little behind. I had a big fat ZERO this week! Those 8 miles will be easy to make up.

Have a fabulous week!!

Trish - I just discovered your challenge and your blog and I just joined. Better late than never.

I'm trying to diet but I keep saying I'll exercise and don't keep up with it. Challenges always help me so I'm in.

Thanks for getting us going. I'll be back Friday to update my miles for this week. Gym - here I come. :)
